Timberline Middle School's first Literary Magazine!
Timberline students and faculty are invited to submit their creative work! The focus of the magazine is on our current students and the Timberline community. Two submissions total for any art or writing genres are allowed, per person. Submissions will be reviewed anonymously by a panel of students and faculty members.

- Fiction (short stories)
- Creative Non-fiction/memoir
- Poetry/Musical Lyrics
- Photography
- Graphic Design
- Scans of Paintings/Drawings
- Must be a current Timberline faculty/staff or student.
- Limit 2 entries per person (i.e. two writing pieces OR two art pieces OR one writing piece and one art piece).
- Each writing submission must be 2500 words or less. Any submissions longer than this will NOT be considered for publication.
- Must be submitted both electronically and printed hard copy. Any submission that does not have both a hard and electronic copy will NOT be considered for publication.
- The hard copies must NOT have your name on it, and be delivered “Attn: Mrs. Cox.” Or you may deliver your hard-copy to the Media Center before/after school or during lunch.
- Electronic submissions should be sent to [email protected] or turned in on an USB when you submit your hard copy. Electronic copies SHOULD have your name on it.
- Each art submission must include a title and may include a short description (no more than 10 words) of the medium used and/or where the photo was taken.
- Please submit your work as an attachment. Writing must be submitted as .doc or .docx. Art must be submitted at its highest resolution as a .jpeg or png file. The magazine will be printed in black and white except for the cover art.
- Please submit your work as separate files (i.e. do not submit two works in one document).
- Delete your name or other personal information from any attachments, as submissions are read anonymously.
- The email subject header should read “Literary Magazine Submission:” followed by the genre of your submission (i.e. Literary Magazine Submission: Fiction & Photography).
- Include in the body of your email 1 short contributor’s note. This must be written in the third person and can describe you/your work in general, as well as your grade level and something interesting about you (this may be silly or serious). This will be published alongside your work if it is accepted.
